While hiring a tenant rep to assist you in your commercial space leasing efforts is highly recommended, if you do decide to go at it alone, understand that the landlord's representative will be negotiating in the best interest of the landlord & they will hand you a lease agreement that will be heavily favored towards them. 


Work towards negotiating terms that are in your business's best interest now as well as in the future & be prepared to walk away if you can't achieve a fair agreement even if you're desperate or really like the space. The best deals are often the one's you didn't do.
